I had been to three dental offices for opinions on one tooth that was discolored. Three doctors refused to bleach my tooth internally at my request. Each of the three dentists recommended veneers on all four front teeth. I was not willing to get veneers at this time, yet they refused to accommodate me. I decided to have the veneers done at ACCD. I met with Dr. King concerning the veneers, but she suggested internal bleaching. I was MOST impressed considering the cost difference. Dr. King gave her honest opinion, not the advice that would financially benefit her practice. I am extremely particular about my teeth/smile. I trust her completely, and will be a patient for life!

Surrounded by Angels

My old fears were back as I sat in the dentist chair and waited. I had the earphones on with loud gentle music playing and my eyes closed tightly, so I was in a cocoon of sorts, but I couldn't stop the old fears from creeping in. I was beginning to shake and tears were slowing escaping the corner of my eyes, and then the sweetest warm hand grabed mine and began to rub and comfort. It felt as if I were in the hospital and there were nurses around taking care of me. I knew that I was being weak, which I hate, but I didn't feel judged, only comforted. Slowly, as time wore on, I was able to open my eyes and I even felt relaxed while the drill was on doing some buffing. I believe that you all are really Angels in disguise, because I've never met a sweeter group of people. Thank you for going into the dental profession which normally doesn't receive such giving and caring individuals.

Garth Brooks and Dr. King Provide Smiles For Life at Children’s Healthcare
Country superstar Garth Brooks, who turned up in his trademark black hat, had a hug ready for Dr. King and NFL legend Troy Aikman as they recently opened up the Child Life Zone at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.
The connection? Dr. King represented Smiles for Life, an organization of dentists who provide free or discounted teeth whitening with the proceeds going to Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation, which partnered with the Troy Aikman Foundation to create the Child Life Zone. Thanks to our patients, last year alone, the Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry raised over $25,000 in charitable donations by offering teeth whitening at a discounted cost.
Dr. King, Brooks, Aikman, and a roomful of attendees —- including Atlanta Falcons, Braves and Thrasher players —- helped celebrate the state-of-the-art Child Life Zone, which is a 3,500-square-foot educational and therapeutic environment for children and their families built within the hospital. Its kid-friendly highlights include a putting green, basketball court, performance theater, reading nook, demonstration kitchen, outdoor koi pond and a host of high-tech electronics. Oh, yes, and one Garth Brooks Stage. The celebs took time to play games with the kids and even checked out the facility’s new Wii system.

Dr. King Selected As Top Dentist By Atlanta Magazine
To help determine the top dentists in Georgia, thousands of dentists were recently polled and asked, "If you had a patient in need of a dentist, which dentist would you refer him or her to?" Voting dentists and specialists were asked to take into consideration years of experience, continuing education, manner with patients, use of new techniques and technologies, and, of course, physical results. Not surprisingly, once the balloting was completed, Dr. Debra Gray King had been selected by her professional peers as an Atlanta Magazine Top Dentist.
