A fresh, bright smile can be yours, with custom cosmetic bonding – all while you experience a completely different type of dental office, built around a superior patient experience. Cosmetic dental bonding involves placing tooth-colored composite material onto the tooth to create a more pleasing look. It is used to produce small cosmetic changes, like repairing chips, cracks, or flaws in teeth. With their expertise in matching and shaping the resin material, our cosmetic dentists consistently achieve stunning results with dental bonding.

Instant Smile Restoration with Bonding

Because of the instant results and affordability, it is a great alternative for many other more extensive cosmetic procedures. Dental bonding can be completed in one visit and creates an instant result. It can be used to address the following concerns:

  • Repairing small chips
  • Restoring a broken tooth
  • Lengthening short teeth
  • Close spaces and gaps between teeth
  • Reshape teeth
  • To cover heavy staining
  • Fix imperfections on the tooth’s surface

No Impressions, No Waiting – Immediate Results with Cosmetic Dental Bonding

The advantage of bonding is that it is an affordable and conservative way to restore a tooth. No impressions are required, and you will not be facing any waiting time. However, if you have teeth that are extensively damaged, or your dentist thinks other dental issues may affect the success and longevity of cosmetic bonding, other options, such as crowns and veneers, may be a more appropriate way to restore your smile.

What is Dental Bonding?

Cosmetic bonding is a treatment in which a specialized, tooth-colored composite material is applied to resculpt the shape and surface of a tooth that shows damage or is unsightly due to discoloration. The tooth is artistically shaped by our skilled cosmetic dentist, and then hardened and polished.

The Treatment: What Should I Expect?

For the tooth-colored material to be “bonded” to your teeth, the surface of your teeth need to be treated are gently prepared for bonding by applying an etching material that provides better adhesion for the resin. This part of the procedure is painless. After the tooth has been prepared, the bonding material is applied, sculpted, and then hardened with a special light, after which it is polished.

What Are the Benefits of Cosmetic Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding has many advantages, including:

  • Less expensive than some other types of dental restorations.
  • Immediate results – no waiting, with about one hour needed to restore a single tooth.
  • No anesthesia required for most cases.
  • Conservative restoration

Is Cosmetic Bonding Right for Me?

If you have a minor cosmetic dental issue you want to resolve easily, quickly, and affordably, cosmetic bonding may be right for you. Your teeth can be reshaped, recontoured, and your smile made more attractive and pleasing in a short dental visit. While bonding is not as durable as veneers, the treatment can quickly repair smaller cosmetic concerns.

How Do I Care for My Bonded Teeth?

To keep your cosmetically bonded teeth looking brilliant, always drink water and rinse your mouth after drinking wine, coffee, or tea. They function normally, but we recommend being cautious to not bite down too hard on anything.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19 View Update

Our doors are open and we are seeing patients!

Our mission has always been to provide the highest quality care available to our community.

At your next appointment, in addition to upholding the OSHA standards that we have always maintained, you will notice updated office protocols, new technology, and additional equipment above and beyond the required. Please read them over so you know what to expect when you come to your appointment:

  • Prior to your appointment: Patients will be asked to complete a 12-question health screening and a consent for treatment. Please sign and submit online prior to your appointment. In addition, we will securely store credit card information for contactless payment.
  • Temperature checks: All team members and patients will be screened daily. Anyone with a temperature of 100° or higher will not be permitted to enter our building.
  • Arrival: We ask that patients “check-in” by sending a text to 404.847.9711, letting us know you have arrived. Please include your car’s make and color. Relax in your vehicle; we will be out to greet you with a warm welcome and a temperature reading.
  • Additional prevention measures: Patients will be given a hydrogen peroxide oral rinse and asked to wash their hands before being taken directly to their patient suite. Please wear a mask if you have one.
  • Our new ‘look’: You will notice your hygienist or assistant fully donned with PPE (personal protection equipment) happy to see you and still smiling underneath it all. Lab coats are changed for every patient.
  • Behind the scenes: As always, each suite has been meticulously prepared for your arrival. In addition to every surface being treated with the proper disinfection tools, we have added individual air purifiers that remove bacteria and viruses in each suite and throughout the office. UV light sterilization wands are also being used to ensure no surface is untreated.
  • Time to say goodbye: At the end of your appointment we will schedule your next appointment and email your receipt. We will escort you to the side door to return to your car. This will limit crossing paths as much as possible.

We appreciate your understanding regarding our new procedures and hope you appreciate the added safety measures we are taking to ensure your care. We may look a little different today but are committed to delivering the same excellence and ‘Ritz Carlton’ service you are accustomed to.
