It’s safe and comfortable. We will help you relax and get the dental care you need.

At the Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, we understand dental fears – and have created a different type of dental practice, built around pain-free dentistry and ultimate patient comfort.

If you are among the 75 million Americans who have anxiety about dental treatment, knowing the benefits of preventive or restorative dentistry does not make planning dental treatment any easier. What if your experience could be truly pain-free? For many patients, sedation dentistry from the Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry smooths the way for you. We help you relax and get the dental treatment you need, free from stress or worry.

What Is Sedation Dentistry?

Our Atlanta sedation dentistry is administered safely and is a comfortable way to help you relax and have a productive dental appointment. Before you receive this treatment, your medical and prescription history will be thoroughly reviewed to ensure you are a candidate for it.

A Level to Match Your Needs

Our cosmetic dentists will provide the right level of sedation to match your anxiety level and the dental procedure you need. We offer various options, including:

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is a colorless, odorless gas. When you inhale the gas, it will calm you and leave you unaffected by the sights and sounds of dental treatment. You will be able to respond to questions and requests during your treatment.

When the procedure is complete, you will breathe in pure oxygen which will reverse the effects in about two minutes. There are no lingering after-effects. After your appointment you will be able to drive home or back to work. Follow the post-care instructions related to your dental procedure. We offer complimentary nitrous oxide to our patients.

Oral Conscious Sedation

This level of Atlanta sedation dentistry is taken orally. You will receive commonly prescribed anti-anxiety medication to take before your appointment. When it is time for your dental procedure, you will be deeply relaxed. You will be conscious during your procedure, and your vital signs are monitored. Your state of relaxation will be so deep that you might not remember what happened during your appointment. Be certain to arrange for transportation to and from your appointment, because you will be too relaxed to drive.

Sedation Dentistry Works

Whether you need preventive or restorative dental care, sedation helps you relax and enjoy your visit. Our team of professional cosmetic dentists are trained and certified by the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS)—a leader in sedation dentistry education. The Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry has a reputation for exceptional patient care and quickly putting patients at ease, whether you need sedation or not.

What Our Patients are Saying

“My appointment was for a simple cleaning, but I was dreading it. I knew I was in the right spot when they offered me a warm neck wrap and hand massage during my cleaning. I completely forgot that I was having my teeth cleaned. I definitely recommend this dental office to everyone, especially if you have anxiety about dental appointments.” – Jessica W.

We welcome you to call us to schedule an appointment or complete our online form to schedule an appointment with us. You can be confident that we focus on providing total comfort during treatment.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19 View Update

Our doors are open and we are seeing patients!

Our mission has always been to provide the highest quality care available to our community.

At your next appointment, in addition to upholding the OSHA standards that we have always maintained, you will notice updated office protocols, new technology, and additional equipment above and beyond the required. Please read them over so you know what to expect when you come to your appointment:

  • Prior to your appointment: Patients will be asked to complete a 12-question health screening and a consent for treatment. Please sign and submit online prior to your appointment. In addition, we will securely store credit card information for contactless payment.
  • Temperature checks: All team members and patients will be screened daily. Anyone with a temperature of 100° or higher will not be permitted to enter our building.
  • Arrival: We ask that patients “check-in” by sending a text to 404.847.9711, letting us know you have arrived. Please include your car’s make and color. Relax in your vehicle; we will be out to greet you with a warm welcome and a temperature reading.
  • Additional prevention measures: Patients will be given a hydrogen peroxide oral rinse and asked to wash their hands before being taken directly to their patient suite. Please wear a mask if you have one.
  • Our new ‘look’: You will notice your hygienist or assistant fully donned with PPE (personal protection equipment) happy to see you and still smiling underneath it all. Lab coats are changed for every patient.
  • Behind the scenes: As always, each suite has been meticulously prepared for your arrival. In addition to every surface being treated with the proper disinfection tools, we have added individual air purifiers that remove bacteria and viruses in each suite and throughout the office. UV light sterilization wands are also being used to ensure no surface is untreated.
  • Time to say goodbye: At the end of your appointment we will schedule your next appointment and email your receipt. We will escort you to the side door to return to your car. This will limit crossing paths as much as possible.

We appreciate your understanding regarding our new procedures and hope you appreciate the added safety measures we are taking to ensure your care. We may look a little different today but are committed to delivering the same excellence and ‘Ritz Carlton’ service you are accustomed to. Thank you for allowing us to be a dedicated part of your healthcare team.
